Ritalin and Alcohol

Posted by Whoa on August 30, 2006 at 18:30:59:

I have narcolepsy (but not cataplexy), and I was wondering what sort of effects it would have if I was to drink alcohol while on Ritalin. I am on the normal type, not the time-release. I have never been drunk before, and the one time I tried, I fell asleep on a couch at a party after one glass of Jack and some sort of juice. I'm wondering- was this just a coincidence, or will I always be doomed to napping at parties if I choose to drink in the future? What have others' experiences been with this in the past? Are there any serious health risks involved with the mixture of narcolepsy, Ritalin, and alcohol?
