Memory loss & provigil

Posted by snoringlikeafreighttrain on February 23, 2007 at 01:11:35:

Has anyone noticed since starting provigil a side effect of memory loss/general (yet debilitating) scatterbrained-ness? I know that technically provigil is supposed to improve these problems, but I've noticed a marked decline in my ability to remember anything since I've started. I've been on the meds (200mg Provigil per day) for about 3-4 years, but it hasn't been consistent. I basically take it on days when I know I can't nap or need to put more than 4 straight hours into any given task or day (with no nap breaks). I don't seem to notice a difference between taking it and encoding and retaining information and not taking it. However the dosage is fine for keeping me awake and alert. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
