Everyone's different and I think C can manifest itself in a lot of different ways, but I'll tell you what C is like for me. Mine has gotten progressively worse over the years but when it first started it would make my knees buckle a tiny bit when I laughed really hard. For some reason, I think the knees are usually the first area affected. And C only lasts for a few seconds at a time (unless you're in "status cataplectus" (sp?) which is some deal where you have C for much longer but it's caused by some kind of rebound reaction when you stop anti-C meds abruptly). The part about the cheek muscles being hard to move is definitely very C-like. I'm on meds that totally control mine now but I used to get so embarrassed when I would laugh because my face would just go completely limp and I knew I looked really weird.
