I also was so pleased to find out I had N, because that meant I was not lazy. (I've retracted that statement later, because having N is not an easy thing to deal with). But just to think that all of my struggling just to get the dishes done, or some task like that, I was not lazy, I was fighting against a chemical problem in my brain.
I am still working. However, I had considered quitting work and going on disability because I was so exhausted, so extremely sleepy, but how could you get disability for laziness? LOL. I had to realize that I was working as hard as the others at work, but I was feeling like I hadn't slept in over 24 hours. I bet none of them could have done that. I have people call off work because their child was sick and they stayed up all night. Well, I felt that way every day. So it should be a matter of pride that we still functioned. Not well, and not willingly, but we did it.
I feel much better now, on the dexies. I don't have any energy, but at least I am alert.
Just waiting for the new drugs, that will help us all live normal lives.
