Posted by Joy on April 12, 2007 at 08:52:28:My personality and temperament make me a proactive, goal orientated person who always has projects to work on and high ambitions. The combination of these things makes the very idea of napping seem like a sin to me. I also have a very active mind, so when I *do* decide to give in and lay down, I can feel my body start to go to sleep but my mind is still working, reminding me of all of the stuff I should be getting done. The whole experience is frustrating and feels pointless. Even if I do have more energy after laying down for a bit, I see the time as having been wasted. As a result, I generally don't see napping as an option no matter how drowsy I feel, how little I'm getting done as a result, or how hard it is to keep my eyes wide open.
