You could have a sleep disorder. The problem is that doctors will send patients for all sorts of tests that come back negative, ever notice that? Then who is the person who gets stressed out, goes through violating and or painful testing (depending on the test), etc...? It is YOU, the patient. They should have tested you right away for a sleep disorder!

What do you mean by a "sleep psychiatrist???" I have never heard of such a thing? Woops, actually I have heard of this before from speaking to other narcoleptics. Be careful Joy, I think you are being jerked aroung again! You do not need a sleep psychiatrist, you need a sleep specialist or a neurologist. The difference is that they are medical doctors dealing with neurology, NOT psychiatry! Be careful that you are given a sleep test with an EEG! Do not allow this person to diagnose you from your symptoms alone!
