Hi thanks for the comments. I agree that pot and alcohol are not good for anyone in the amounts that I have consumed them. I'm fairly certain that drinking aggravates my RLS. Also, even though I said pot seems to reduce RLS symptoms, I sometimes wonder if it is not really aggravated by the pot withdrawals when I don't smoke.

I'm surprised, though, that you haven't heard of Ambien as treatment for insomnia associated with N. Without a sleep med I wake up 2 to 3 times an hour. I typically fall right back to sleep, but I wake up enough to be aware of it. I kind of thought this was characteristic of PWNs. The whole night long I doze, have a vivid dream, wake up, repeat. I feel like a smooth stone skipping across the waters of sleep: touching it but never sinking down into it. Does anyone else feel like that?
