I'm wondering how many people here, especially those who have lots of hypnogogic hallucinations, and/or sleep paralysis, would consider themselves to be deeply spiritual or religious. Some how I sense there is some connection here. My HH very typically have some sort of spiritual content, and looking back, it seems to have always been this way: talking with angelic beings, saint, yogis, fighting demons, astral travel, accompanying and comforting people who are dying (usually sudden accidents), etc. I've even had more than a few very precise premonitions during SP that shortly afterwards came to pass. It all seems very uncanny. Anyways, is the spiritual/religious content of my HHs due to simple conditioning, or could there be a biological basis to this...or something else? I'm interested to hear other people's experiences in this regard.
