That combo works very well for me. There are always times in the day when drowsiness simply wins out over medication. At my current dosage (20x2 mg ritalin SR and 200mg of provigil), I'm very satisfied.

Most doctors prefer to try one medication at a time. My advice would be to try ritalin first without provigil. See which works better for you. I realized that each worked well for me in some situations where the other didn't.
