Thanks for the info. I did some research online and I did talk to my doctor yesterday. Interesting that the research talks about how narcolepsy could be related to an autoimmune disease. About a year and 1/2 before I starting getting symptoms of narcolepsy and mainly cataplexy, I got really sick. Long story short, I had Fifth's Disease. When I first went to the hospital, they tested me for Lupus and I tested positive. My ANA was very high. I went for months thinking I had Lupus. Well then I tested negative for lupus and after 4 doctors, I found out it was Fifth's Disease and you can test positive for Lupus during the first week of the virus. My ANA still tests very high. I wonder (and so does my doctor) if getting this virus and to the degree that I got sick, could have triggered a dormant disorder (like my narcolpsy) because of the autoimmune virus.

I do have regular lab work done because of the medications I take so my blood sugar is tested. But, on my bad days, I do question my blood sugar levels. Maybe I should have a blood test on that particular day.
