Long awaited diagnosis

I have recently been pre-diagnosed with mild Narcolepsy. My sleep study testing is Wed./Thursday, both for apnea (to rule it out) and N. I am a 31 year old mother of one, I work full-time, am married and have 2 dogs. Ever since I can remember from my teenage years on I've spent a lot of time in this hazy fog of sleepiness. My agitation level has gone through the roof, I can't lose weight no matter what I try (and believe me I've tried it ALL), etc. Until my meeting with a sleep specialist last week I thougt this was just how life was, I didn't understand how everyone else who is as busy as me could go on going w/o ever taking a nap or getting a weird sleep attack. Now although my diagnosis isnt' technically "confirmed" I fit the mold with the sleep attacks, the visual hallucinations on falling asleep, muscle weakness, etc. I haven't even begun to discuss or think about treatments. Anyone else fairly new to this diagnosis or anyone have any suggested reading or anything for me or my family?
