I am a PWN w/o C. I recently started taking Xyrem about a month ago (I take Provigil and Adderral for EDS). At first, of course, I was VERY skeptical about being able to wake up in the middle of the night (since I have even slept through fire alarms!). Boy, was I blown away by the results! I haven't had any of the "usual" negative side effects from Xyrem. The only problem I have experienced is being very lethargic during the day. I talked to the Xyrem people, and they told me this was rare side effect (1/1000). So, I stuck with it, hoping the lethargy would go away. I've done research on a few sleep forums, and now I'm wondering if my Provigil is the culprit instead of the Xyrem. I've been having the same stoopids everyone else has described -- the head fog, and not being able to get off the couch (yeah, I'm awake, but at what cost?). A few months ago my PCP ordered me an emergency Head Scan because of severe stoopid symptoms(she thought I might have had a stroke), and come to think of it, it was soon after I started back on Provigil after being off of it for a few months. I'm so very excited to think that by cutting out the Provigil, the Xyrem might help even more! I'm crossing my fingers and toes! I could just kick myself, however, for not figuring out the Provigil thing sooner. After what I've read, I need to waste my money or something else. Maybe after I stop the Provigil, I might even venture out of the house!
