I too have been diagnosed Narcoleptic w/o cataplexy. The doctor prescribed Xyrem because it has been shown to improve daytime sleepiness some although it is primarily for cataplexy. I didn't stay on it for lack of money. I found out recently that there is an organization for rare disorders that may help with the cost. Good Luck.
