I was officially diagnosed with N on Wednesday of this week. Prior to visiting my neurologist in July I didn't even know what N was except that people sometimes had cataplexy attacks. After reading numerous posts on this forum it occurred to me that "hey, this is me!". Anyhow, my doc. started me on Provigil on Wed. He prescribed 400 mg./day and told me I could break the dosage up or take 2 in the morning. The last two days I've almost felt worse! I'm definitely not sleepy but I'm spacey-headed, nauseated, and my neck and back feel as if they've been wrenched. Is this normal? Will it go away? Today I cut my dosage in half and took 100 mg. this morning. Its no fun staying awake during the day if I'm going to feel like crap. Anybody else had this experience with Provigil??????
