WOW! this happened to someone else! I tested extremely positive in my MSLT 8 years ago. I fell asleep within 60 seconds on 4 of the naps and had sleep paralysis on the 4th. they said they had enough data that they didn't need to do a 5th. Recently i switched docs. The new doc did a new test. I suffer from anxiety and also take meds which i stopped before the test. On my new MSLT, i feel asleep an avg of 8 mins, and no REM. i couldn't believe it! I actually was falling asleep between my naps, but when it was nap time i had the same things going through my head. I was so anxious i couldn't fall asleep. I thought "i have to fall asleep cause i won't be able to for another hour and a half!" Thank God i already have a diagnosis and this was just to get a "baseline".
