The summer heat affects everybody and tends to make them more sleepy. But we narcoleptics are probably more sensitive to the heat in terms of wakefulness. So on muggy summer days it may feel like you never took any medication at all.
A couple observations: Working in an office that's four or five degrees (Fahrenheit) above room temperature will make sitting at a cubicle a subtle torture.
On the other side of the spectrum, there is the nice, cool office whose air-conditioner that is always running. But the constant whir of an AC unit becomes a white noise. The redundancy of that noise wears down on me, and I feel like I'm going into a trance.
So if you work in an office, it's like: Danged if you do, danged if you don't.
