I have taken xyrem for over 4 years. It has rid me of EDS. If you can get the dose correct, it will help the C as well I take provigil when I need to be alert.

I too am smothered in meds. I had a liver transplant 5 years ago. The anti-rejection meds cause insomnia. I take ambien cr to get sleep. What a joke!

I am back on the transplant list. The Hep C has again become a problem. I may have to stop the xyrem because of the high sodium content. In the mean time, I am experimenting with the lowest dose I can get by with.

I am down to 6mg. per night. I would rather it be 10 mg.

Give xyrem a chance.
