I don't have narcolepsy myself - I've only been on this forum looking for information in support of a friend - but I did suffer from ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy) for a long time and if it turns out you do not have narcolepsy, you may want to mention ME to your doctor, particularly if this has started after a viral illness.

It sounds an awful lot like the symptoms I had and which I happily recovered from almost completely, in time.
