I just recently joined the site and am new to the whole Narcolepsy condition, so I may not be much help, but I wanted you to know that I know how you feel and you are not alone. I have done alot of research on Narcolepsy since finding out this might be what I have. From everything I have read your symptoms seem to match.

They can actually do a test that will confirm that you do indeed have Narc. The two test I know are called Polysomnogram & Multiple sleep latency test . Nether of them use blood for testing, but alot of Dr's will test your blood to see if you have the certain genes for Narc (not all people have them, but its a good way for them to diagnose you as well) and possibly some kind of auto immune disease which are common to come with Narc.

Its so sad to see what you had to go through to get to this point. Its sad to see that our medical fields are still so unfamiliar with this disease. I am so sorry. I recommend you go see a sleep specialist and I can almost guarantee he will order you a sleep test and of course, more blood work! :)

Its so hard to have this problems and no one around you seems to understand. Please dont feel alone. I hope I helped in some way, hang in there.
