Provigil caused my daughter to have migraines and we took her off of it. She was unable to have any of the stronger drugs because of the side effects. Her sleep doctor put her on Tenuate which is a glorified diet pill. She now takes six a day but with no side effects. She also is more alert. Her GPA also started sliding and she had been in the top 10% of her class. We just recently asked the school for help with her classes. They are doing a more one on one with her in classes that have a lot of reading or lecturing. Your school will probably do the same for you. Also, my daughter is an insomniac at night. She hasn't slept on her own for years at night. (I know that sounds stupid being sleepy in the day and insomniac at night, but it happens.) Your sleep doctor can prescribe sleep medications for you at night. The Provigil lasts too long to wear off before evening. If you are a senior and will soon take your SATs or ACTs, be sure you have your school counselor set them up so that you will take them in shorter time periods. They will do this for you.
