Stephanie --

I expereince both the excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) and the actual falling asleep, especially after a hard day or a night with less sleep than I need. The EDS makes me feel VERY drowsy and draggy (as well as irritable as hell), and I just want to sit or lie down and go to sleep. If I move around (take a walk even as far as the mens' room, for example) it usually helps. There are times, though -- usually in the evening or when I'm doing something boring at work -- that I just drop out similar to what John is talking about. I don't really percieve it as sleep, but I guess it is.

Hope this helps. When the final diagnosis comes in post a message for us.

Good luck --

Merrill
