For me it's that feeling of my eyelids are so heavy & I start to nod. As other posts have said, the only thing that will stop me from falling asleep is physical activity. Walking, Talking, Exercising. I do feel it coming on & I can stop it if I do one of those things. But, if I just sit at my desk & fight the sleepiness I will lose!
Time & time again.
In your post you described what you feel as "tired". That would not describe my feeling, "sleepy" is how I feel. Tired sounds like a lack of energy which I don't have a problem with, as long as I stay active. I also only experience this feeling during the daytime! At night I'm full of energy with or without medication.
EDS-that's what I experience with my Narcolepsy.
Hope I helped, Vern
