Posted by steve on November 02, 1999 at 14:10:36:Why do people persist in giving medical advice to people regarding drugs and other methods of dealing with a disease. if your not a specialist, dont advise people to change thier drugs, take more or less of them or any other medical advice. you could concievably kill someone. i belive its fine to share your experiences, your hopes and failures, and give support to those who need it, but please be wary of telling others to change thier meds , just because you did. unless you have an M.D. at the end of your name you shouldnt be doing so. Just remember your opinions and results are not the same as those around you. SO i will say helping others with narcolepsy is admirable, but giving them orders and diagnosis, is potentially dangerous.
