I was diagnosed at Ft. Sanders Sleep/Wake Ctr. in Knoxville TN. Although the original diagnosis was narcolepsy, the more I read about things, the more I come to think I may actually have IH. This is more of an angels-on-the-head-of-a-pin sort of thing, because as I understand it the treatment for the EDS is the same regardless of the diagnosis (narc. or IH) -- stimulants such as ritalin, dex., or cylert, or more recently provigil. I do rather well on cylert most days, as long as I get at least 6.5-7 hrs. of sleep a night.

Re: your comments on IH and narcolepsy -- most things in life are on some sort of continum (sp??) so what you say may make sense.
