Hmmmm. Interesting. I had a "submucus recession" (scrape away some tissue around the septum)done years ago to help my sinus problems. The doctor said I had a deviated nasal septum. For about a day after he removed the 'packing' or 'bandages' I was able to breathe without nose spray. Then my nose closed up again. The doctor was amazed. He was certain that he had removed enough tissue to insure that my right nasal passage would remain open. As it happened, he died that month and I haven't pursued the matter. (The operation was a failure and the doctor died. There's a switch.) I just carry the little nasal spray bottle with me.

I found out about my narcolepsy a year ago, but never considered a connection.
