I'm 19 and when I started taking amphetamines 6 months ago the "Fog" I lived in permanently seemed to lift (Although not totally disappear) and my grades have improved dramatically from when I had it although not back to where I was before all this started. As an added bonus, the drugs also helped me loose all the weight I have been putting on from sleeping all the time which shouldn't really be a factor in choosing a drug but it sure made me feel so much better about myself which also helps the severity of my symptoms. I know other drugs may be more risky and admittedly Provigil isn't available in Australia yet so I haven't had the opportunity to try it but maybe you should consider asking your doctor about trying others to find what makes you feel BETTER instead of worse. I got hold off all the placebo studies on Provigil and apparently its major side effect is headaches in comparison to any others although I don't think there was a "Spaciness" category. Also, consider a second opinion. Some doctors don't seem to want to change from a tried and trusted method even if it's not working and remember none of them really know what it feels like so it's best to learn as much as possible for yourself as doctors don't always know everything or offer you all the alternatives.

I Hope you find something that works.
