Dianne-
I was reading your comments on your job. It kind of sounds like you were being harassed by your boss. You have a disability. Have you read about the Americans with Disabilities Act? I know that it is very difficult, for example, to fire someone for depression-related problems (missing work, being in a medication haze, acting strange). I wouldn't think it should be any different for narcolepsy-related problems (or God-help-us-all) There's no reason you should have to quit your job because your supervisor is insensitive and ignorant. Did she realize AT ALL what was going on with you? Did you document any of the things that were said, or do you have witnesses who would vouch for you? It sounds like you should go to your local unemployment office and discuss this with someone. That just isn't right that you should have had to worry so much about saving your job. I hope things work out for you! :)
