Kathleen,
Thanks for responding. I was very interested in what you have to say. I haven't seemed to notice these neck and back problems untill the past couple of years or so. I also didn't start to have cataplectic attacks until the past year. It is quite interesting that they both have started around the same time. I have never had muscle problems in my life until recently. Maybe it is connected to cataplexy somehow? Or, perhaps like you said, in response to not enough deep sleep. At any rate, I also am treated for the severe muscle pulls with relaxers and anti-inflammatories. This helps, but troubles me also, because as you know, they make you very tired. Boy, that's just what I need. Pain seems to lessen however. I have a six year old and HAVE to be able to move my neck and back in order to care for him on a daily basis, as I home school him as well. Any information you have or suggestions that I could follow up on would be of great value to me. Phillip suggested that maybe my pillow could cause neck trouble. Have often though this, but I have had this pillow for years and again, no trouble until severe narcoleptic symptoms started to onset. Pardon me if I sound paranoid. I am still in disbelief that something like this is happening. Folks like you make me feel back to "normal." What is normal anyway? I am starting to like that quote more and more.
