Yes, it is thought that Prozac, Wellbutrin, and
Vivactil all tend to help give you more energy. I
remember being on Prozac once. I found that one day I'd be full of energy and the next was zapped.
I'm sure it was a dosage thing. But the days of
energy felt great. The Vivactil is a tri-cyclic which may cause drowsiness at bedtime. The other two are not. The work differently but all three
help to promote increased energy. They seem relatively safe to take if taken as prescribed. I
for my self wouldn't give up by not taking them.
It maybe just the right thing to help. But if you
don't try you'll never know. I do know and hear the frustration your feeling about the meds. Unfortunity our chemistries are all so different. What works for one doesn't work for the other. I hope you will try them. If you feel uncomfortable
in any way while taking them call your doctor that's what he's there for. If you want to talk more E-mail me.
