Reatha,

Through the years I have tried many different antidepressents. The first time I took prozac it worked fine. However, the second time I took it I had tons of emotional/mental problems. I have also had the same reaction from many other antidepressants. I have taken Welbutrin SR now for over three years, and have done fine with it. I was not aware that it is considered a stimulant. It has helped with the depression, but has steadily been increased. I recently asked my local neuro about switching to a more stimulating antidepressent. He did not want to as the Welbutrin has helped with the depression even though I am not where I should be. I have had so much trouble with others in the past, he did not want to rock the boat.
I know it is frustrating to have to try different ones for awhile. You may have to try quite a few before you find the one that works for you. You should be able to find one that works if you hang in there, and if you have * ANY * side affects call your doctor right away.
