as you read the article, you'll find that the
group proposes a link with INCREASED temperature
and drowsiness. So a continously lower body
temperature 'should' wake you. I think one should
be careful with extending basal research findings
like this to everyday life. The group just find
an interconnection between cells involved in the
regulation of body temp and in arousal.To John: animals that habernate have a lower
temperature to save energy (because basic metabolic rate, and thus energy expenditure, is
lower at lower body temperatures). You cannot
per definition turn this around by saying: they
have a lower temperature to go to sleep. See also
