Posted by Deb on March 22, 2000 at 10:00:03:I want to Thank everyone for your support and patience
with me during my period of insomnia. Not out of it
yet but there is hope insight. I had an appt with
my psychiatrist yesterday and showed the sleep chart
I made for the neurologist to him. He actually made
comment to it and gave me the opprotunity to explain
what I was going through. After discussing what I
was doing when it started we came to the conclusion
that I have my sleep rythem off line. He gave me a
different sleeping pill with instructions to take it
go straight to bed the same time each night and get
up the same time each morning even if I don't sleep
well or enough hours. Once up I'm to go to the door
and light the sun shine in. Maybe even go for alittle
walk to be out in the sun. As something to do with
Melatonin production which some of you have share
with me. Thsi all started when I started working a
part-time job working from 3-11:30pm. I'd be so keyed
up that I couldn't sleep. So I started sleeping latter
in the day to make up for what I wasn't getting at
night. Took the first dose of Sonata last night and
sleep like a champ. The alarm went off at 8:30am.
It took a min. or two to turn the silly thing off
but I'm up and active. I'm sure I may need a Little
nap latter. But this sure beats sleeping all day and
being awake all night by myself. I feel like I'm on my way to recovery. Again, Thanks for your support and es-
peacially your patience.Deb
