Hi, Everyone! I'm so glad to find you! I've been experiencing sleep paralysis and hypnogogic hallucinations for 15 years, and only because I had a really bad one last week did I decide to find others. Reading these boards has been amazing. As someone who has never talked with anyone else who experiences this, I have a lot of questions I hope you can help me with.
* Do I have to see a doctor about this? (I don't seem to have other narcolepsy symptoms)
*Is it possible to have h.h. without narcolepsy?
*Are our episodes seizures of some kind?
*Do they affect our brain function?
Now the fun stuff....
*Is it possible to overcome the (perception of) sleep paralysis while keeping the dreams? I really want to get out of bed and fly, but the more I work at it, the more I just wake up.
*Why do so many people feel attacked/pursued/possessed by satan?
*Can you turn the scary dreams around? I just have to wake myself up.
*Are you all aware of the connection between h.h. and witch trials of the Inquisition? It's fascinating!
*Does everyone know when they're going to have an episode later?
Again, I'm so happy to find you! Thank you!
