I can't help you on that decision, I'm in kind of the same place. I do seem to have some symptoms, but it is not debilitating and I'm not sure what intervention would be necessary, as I suspect I've got a mild case, *if* I have it.

But my son's case is much more problematic, therefore it is in his interest that I am willing to pursue this to whatever degree is necessary. I am going to push on his diagnosis first, in fact, unless my own symptoms worsen, I may just end up assuming, *if* he is positive for narcolepsy, that I do have a mild case and that's where he got it from.

It's so wierd how I always thought sleep paralysis and wierd dream like states at the beginning of sleep were normal. I'm asking around, and so far, most folks do NOT experience this. Strange how we just assume we are normal all along, till finding out how wierd we are ;)
