Betty Anne,
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for sharing on this forum. I, like yourself was told that I didn't have the genetic blood marker, nor my mother, nor my father. This depressed me so, that I put off digging further into the diagnosis of Narcolepsy. Thankfully, with the support of my family, and a doctor who seems very understanding, I am on my way to a formal diagnosis. Doctors are now thinking my narcolepsy has exacerbated because of head injury in my car accident. Nothing genetic about that! Thank you, from those like me, who weren't aware of such a disease as narcolepsy, for making the symptoms and the sleep disorders more of a focus to be examined by the public and by the medical profession. Reatha
