Gosh Trixie... my EDS is ongoing... I wake up so sleepy sometimes, and it does not go away, I can doze off if I am not careful, and I think that automatic behavior is worse. I have EDS most days. But sometimes only half a day. I can't drive as I will fall asleep, cancel appointments, Etc. So the occurrence of dozing off is one of the symptoms, but I can still be awake and function, and still be extremely sleepy, and know not to go anywhere. To me EDS is being very sleepy dozing off and on, (I sometimes catch myself staring off into space just to rest my mind) but the sleepiness in general is the most prevelent symptom. Merril, are you extremely sleepy most of the time?
