Yes. I was prescribed vivactil (tricylic anti-depressant) by my neurologist. He said that it would help with the cataplexy (which isn't the problem, it is just embarrassing at times) AND would keep me more alert. He said to try it, then if it didn't work go back to the Ritalin. I filled the prescription, but have yet to try it. (After provigil, I'm just not up to trying something new.)

I would also be interested to know if anyone has had success with using an anti-depressant to help with EDS.
