You are absolutely correct! I am currently receiving SS benefits for myself and my son, due to the death of his father, and was told until my son is 16 and I no longer recieve the death benefits for myself that I cannot recieve any kind of other SS or health benefits. The health benefits are what makes it so disturbing. I am disabled, cannot work, and have to pay over 200$ a month for my health insurance, and that will only be available for another year as a cobra plan from my previous employer. I can only imagine what it will cost me after that if I am not back to work!
