Droopy -

I am not sure whether "DR" Ruth-ette was trying to be of any type of help, or whether she was actually trying to be hurtful. Either way, she might want to give her posts a re-read, and think about how her responses may affect others before she clicks "submit". Many times we say things meaning one thing and they come off a completely different way. I hope this was the case.

Reading into what "DR" Ruth-ette was saying, I think it could be a number of things.

*Disclaimer*
I am not in the medical field at all. These are just some thoughts that went through my head.

Cataplexy or medication which were already mentioned. By the way, Phillip is quite knowlegable about medicine, sleep disorders, etc. (or he comes off that way) :)

Could it be your body knows you are tired, so your body says "NO! Give me sleep"?

Could it be a "psychological" issue (and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!)? The stresses of dealing with Narcolepsy is enough to bring on (or exacerbate) depression or anxiety in many people. Any additional stresses are sure to make that worse.

Good Luck,

Angi
