thankyou for your positive response on this rather embarrassing issue. The fact that two females (you & Susan) have responded with encouraging words is reassuring for me and any other male with this problem im sure.
As far as Ruth-ette is concerned, i don't think she was being facecious. I think she was trying to be helpful but she just came across as being slightly insensitive. My letter to her was more tongue and cheek rather than a complaint about her response.
I think your right about Philip, he does seem to know alot about medical issues. Next time i see my doc i'll ask about the testosterone and estrogen.
Whether that will work or not probably depends on it being physical or phsychological. Maybe its a bit of both. I have suffered from depression in the past as a direct result from my narcolepsy, so this could be part of the cause, as you suggested.
Cataplexy could be another factor, as i do tend to get it a bit when im with my girlfriend (u know).
