Catalepsy & House-Hold Disasters

Posted by John D. Lyle on April 27, 2000 at 05:25:20:

Does this sort of thing happen to you?

Today, I was expecting the plumber round, so I waited, but fell asleep. I awoke an hour later (it was past the time that he was due), so I rang him up, & he said he had called, banged on the door, but no answer. I made another appointment.
I thought I'd have some coca-cola, so I picked up the bottle, & had a cataleptic attack (because I was so annoyed that I'd missed the plumber). I dropped the coke, it hit the floor & BOOM!!!!, it exploded. EVERYWHERE was covered in coke, the walls, the ceiling, me, EVERYWHERE (I never knew that a 2litre bottle of cola was a lethal weapon).
Anyway, I had a terrible mess to clear up. I was in a foul mood. I got a bucket full of soapy water, & had another cataleptic attack, dropped the bucket down the stairs (I had to fill it in the bath upstairs, because the kitchen sink was full of washing up). The water went all down the stairs. This made me even more annoyed.
I was covered in cola, so was my kitchen & lounge (the exploding bottle of cola covered an area of about 20feet, in all directions). I couldn't change into clean clothes, because they all needed washing. I was in a foul mood.
Anyway, I had attack, after attack whilst trying to clean up the mess.
All this also put me into auto-pilot, so I forgot to turn the tap off, & the bath (where I was washing my clothes), flooded the bathroom.
After about 5 hours I managed to clean up most of it, & am still wearing coke covered clothes. I have since hand-washed my clothes, & there now on the line (hopefully they'll be dry by tommorow).
All this, over missing an appointment & getting annoyed.

Does this sort of thing happen to you?

I can't wait to get back on meds, it didn't happen then (well, not so often). Without meds, I'm like a cross between Frank Spencer & Mr Bean. Disaster after disaster.
