I have been on dex for aproximately 5 years now with great success unfortunately in the last few months it has not been working well enough. I had an appointment this afternoon with my sleep specialist and she is going to start me on 200 mg of Provigil tomorrow morning. I have been taking 30 to 45 mg of dex recently now she wants me to take one 5 mg tab of dex in the morning along with one 200 mg of provigil and then around noon I am suppose to take one more 5 mg of dex. I have no idea what I will begin to go through tomorrow morning and would like any information that anyone might have that will help me through this change. Common since says that my body is not just going to accept the small amount of dex after so long getting a larger dose and then it is having 200 mg of a completely new med dumped in. I really am very scared as to what the side affects are going to be. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
