I was recently informed that I have extreme EDS and was also placed on provigil. On the nap portion of my test I fell asleep within 1 minute. The doctor's do not think that I am cataplexic or narcoleptic but that something is wrong with my sleep mechanism. The drug I believe acts as a transmitter to the hypothalmus to stimulate a wakeful state. I took the provigil for the first time today and it seemed to work good. I just hope it keeps it up.
