Hi, Scott. I completely agree with Merrill's assessment of Provigil. I took it for a few months and had the same symptoms as Merrill, plus nausea, loss of appetite, anxiety, and mild paranoia. Provigil was great for a couple of weeks. Then, I started having these bad side effects, and I started not being able to concentrate or get anything done. And, I wasn't sleeping well at night, so I was always tired. For some reason, though, I didn't realize what was causing these problems, and for a while, it didn't occur to me that it might be the Provigil. Then, I found sleepnet, and saw that other people had had similar problems. I stopped taking the Provigil, and was better in a couple of weeks.

This drug is really being hyped by the drug company and doctors, who are telling you this is the safest drug, with few or no side effects. If you decide to try it, and start having weird symptoms that you hadn't had before, please don't assume it's you - it may be the drug.

I'm sure there's something out there that will help you. If you don't find it at first, keep looking. And, if your doctor pushes a drug on you that doesn't work for you, or that makes you crazy, find another doctor. Good luck.
