Where am I? experiences... Plse help!

Posted by Theresa on June 24, 2000 at 00:23:46:

Hi Everyone.

I had the most terrifying experience today...

I was driving home from visiting my mom. I had forgotten my Provigil at home, so I was in a bit of a hurry to get back for a nap. Suddenly, I had no idea where I was. I knew the street I was turning on to I guess, but it was not the usual street I take to get home. It was almost as though I blacked out. I had no recollection of how I even got to where I was, or why I had decided to take that route. The street corner I found myself at was very simular in appearance to the usual street corner I turn at to get home, so I'm wondering if I went into auto-pilot, or if I just plain lost it! It took me quite a while to come back to reality and realize what I was doing. I'm worried if maybe I fell asleep at the wheel for a second and didn't realize it -- but then, it was a busy street, so if that were the case, I should've caused an accident.

I dunno, I'm feeling rather scared right now, and I'm wondering if today I was lucky, and from now on I shouldn't really be operating a car anymore. Can anyone relate? Is this a symptom of Narc., or possibly something more?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Theresa.
