For Heidi and Truman

Two birds, one e-mail:
First, for Truman: Provigil is all I've ever used. My doctor got my insurance company to change their rules so I DIDN'T have to try other stimulants and the like, which he considered more dangerous. And Provigil is the only drug I'm on: 200mg a day.

Now, for Heidi: I have nothing but praise for Provigil. It's working perfectly for me. I've been on it for about 7 months now, and I hope it keeps working like it's working. The side effects have been minimal, and the positive effects have been life-changing. I am awake. I can think straight. I have the energy to not only stand up straight, but actually exercise. I have not gained weight. I have raved about this elsewhere in this forum, so I won't go into any more specifics. So far, it is the right drug for me and I am grateful. And I'm grateful that my insurance company only charges me 25 dollars a month for it (still too much for an HMO to charge, but better than the alternative!).

I'm sorry that some aren't doing as well as I am on Provigil: it just shows that regardless of how much we all have in common in this forum, there are a million ways to deal with this problem...and the research must continue!
