Leona,
I'm just in the process of switching to Provigil, but after 15 years on Cylert it's hard to change from what's comfortable. I'm in the middle of an intense training program at work and couldn't risk the hazy concentration that some people have mentioned, so I'm only taking provigil on my days off - max so far 4 days. I'm happy to say it's worked better than Cylert, with no side effects other than nausea one morning when I'd skipped breakfast. Will go on it full time in August. There are a couple of great web sites from the manufacturer you may wan't to check out - www.provigil.com gives all the basic info, and www.cephalon.com has a section on investor relations info which links to about a dozen clinical studies done with provigil. Haven't read them all yet but the summary seems to be that it works best and has least side effects at the 200mg dose, for people without cataplexy, sleep
paralysis, or hypnogogic hallucinations, and who weren't previously on amphetamine type medications. Also alters he effectiveness of other medications, including birth control. Anyway, good luck with your decision - sounds like you're on the right track!
Vicky
