I will go into a falling a sleep feeling drifting drifting with my eyes open.I become paralysed and cannot move anything.I'm not sure I even blink. These often are followed with bodily shaking. I am very active and I am safe then.I can feel them coming on while I am sitting but sometimes I'm in a situation where I am so sleepy I can't move. I'm haveing a Polysomnograph done in a week I hope I can figure this out.It always occurs 2-9 days before menstrual cycle, sometimes during as well.I have had my face slapped and pain caused and I don't come out till my body is ready but I try to fight them offI can't. I was accused of faking it in emergency last week by a mad doctor who thought I was faking a seizure. I went in for something totally different and fell into one. The nurses and doctor didn't know what was going on and I couldn't break it to tell them I was familiar with this even though I don't know what it is. Does anyone else out there experience this. My MD suggests some psuedo seizure. The doc in emerg suggested conversion disorder. I say thats a cop out because they don't know what it is and I'm not a text book case. They aren't real seizures although they can get very violent. If there isn't a pill that will fix something then it must be all in my head hey?
