Posted by Heidi on July 25, 2000 at 07:44:00:Regarding earlier entries on this subject, I tried to get health insurance before my school insurance ended. I was told by an Insurance Rep. and aslo individual insurance companies that I would be denied. (Blue Shield, Kaiser...) I could only find an offer for 350.oo a month with a 2000.00 $ deductible. Obviously priced to not be worth it. I never actually applied for anything because I was told basically there were no reasonable offers for me. Did I miss some information? I read the entry on applying while you still have coverage etc.. It would be great to have insuance. I have to go to the county hospital, it takes hours, I cant get there on my own and the doctors dont know about Narcolepsy so I get to educate them. Alot of hoops, though by meds are free. (would be $200/mo.)
