Dexedrine vs Ritalin

I don't know anything about GHB. But I've taken both Ritalin and Dex.

They are both the same type of drug. They are supposed to function as CNS stimulants. I seem to have a high tolerance for drugs, so I was taking fairly large maintenance doses. Everyone is so different. We (my doctor and I) played with trying the tablets later in the day and the sustained release in the earlier part of the day. I started with Ritalin, ended up taking an excess of 100 mg a day. It wasn't working (but I also believe I was looking for a cure, anyway...) - I had digestive upset and I lost 15 pounds in the first two months. I was wicked irritable, too.

I ended up on Dex and for the most part preferred it. It just seemed less intrusive for my system. That may be a subjective observation. I still experienced the irritability. I also found it difficult to concentrate. I sometimes wondered if I didn't experience drug induced Atttention Deficit Disorder. I was on Dex pretty consistently for several years (with a few other drugs thrown in for good measure). I was also anorexic.

I'm on a drug holiday presently. I feel tired most of the time and I weigh a full 35 pounds more than I used to (wah!). I'm only 5'2" so I feel much larger. Well, I am much larger than I was. Mentally though, right now, I prefer no drugs. My thinking is probably slower all the time, but I think it is clearer. I'm happier without the anxiety exacerbated by the Dex.

That's me, though. I hope this information helped. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Good luck!
